2012. The end of the world, as the Mayan calendar promised, has come. A System entered the world, and overnight part of humanity woke up as players. Some of them stayed human; others turned into dwarfs, elves, half-lings, orcs, and goblins. The chaos that followed—along with the surge of lawlessness after it—nearly crushed human civilization back into the Middle Ages. Only the invention of a negator of game abilities—something that temporarily deprives a player of its powers—was able to stop the process of collapse.
