Revenge is a dish best served cold. It seems you’ve thought everything through: you chose the place, the time, the method of execution, and accepted that you’ll have to pay for what you did. But not with your life, surely?!

A cornered beast has very few ways to escape, so it had no choice but to use an opportunity that presented itself to slip away from the pursuers. And again, it didn’t work out—its escape led to a place where its deed has been forgotten for more than a century, and even the bones are all that’s left of the enemy. But that doesn’t mean the guilt is gone. There is guilt—oh, and what guilt. People here deal with those like it simply: they bind them with iron wire and pour molten lead. In the church cellars there are plenty of metal ingots left from such unfortunate failures. Those who are brought there are not just criminals—they aren’t even considered people. They are technobeasts: bearers of ancient secrets, creatures spawned by the cursed underground. Bounties are offered for their heads, and for execution or capture, squads and armies are assembled.

But in an abandoned underground labyrinth there is a bunker that you can’t find on any map…
