People are curious, but not everyone has the opportunity to satisfy their thirst for knowledge. The main character is lucky: he can get answers to many questions—each of which many people paid for with years of life. But he, too, will have to pay. He doesn’t yet know the price, but he already understands: it’s time to make a choice. What is the most important thing in life? What do we need knowledge for? And what should we do with it?
