The Inspector and the Night

The Inspector and the Night

3 hrs. 8 min.
Investigating the circumstances of Marinov’s death—a man with a rather dark past—the members of the investigative team incline to the version that it was suicide. Only the criminal investigation inspector disagrees with this verdict. He meets with everyone who had been in contact with Marinov shortly before the fateful incident.

The range of interests of Bogomil Raynov, one of the most vivid representatives of contemporary Bulgarian literature, is extraordinarily broad. As a professor at the Sofia Higher Institute of Fine Arts, he publishes monographs and critical articles, and in a number of essays and articles he addresses questions of aesthetics and the theory of art. B. Raynov is also known as a screenwriter and playwright. An important place in Bogomil Raynov’s work is occupied by his research, in which he breaks apart bourgeois aesthetic positions—“Artistic Skill,” “The Black Novel,” and “Eros and Thanatos.”
