Once, in a far, far-away kingdom, people lost a treasure that, under no circumstances, should have been lost—the human genome. Since then, their lives have turned into a storybook tale, only a very perverse and terrifying one—a genetic fairy tale. In this tale, there are monsters—unfortunate beings whose human appearance has been stripped to the barest extent by a chain of genetic diseases and mutations. In this tale, there are princes and princesses—lucky ones who managed to preserve so much pure human blood that they have the right to call themselves people. And there are also gene-witches—dangerous and mysterious creatures who carry out their dark magic, ruling over destinies and twisting bodies.

For Genzelyu and Gretel, the main characters of this dreadful tale, things won’t be easy. Along their path, they will encounter mermaids who traded their voices for human legs and live on the rooftops with the jam lovers, deadly wooden dolls, and girls with blue hair.
