The Walker

Stregón and his sworn brothers are the best mercenaries of Intaris, and their services are always in demand. However, the last contract turns out to be no easy matter: they’re required to find a guide through the Cursed Forest, where even five centuries after the death of Iziaar, the ancient ruler of the dark elves, people still try not to appear. At first, Stregón doubts he’ll be able to find the right person—there weren’t many such madmen in the Settled Lands who were ready to put their heads into the maw of a chmer. But, strangely enough, a guide is found. Правда, locals whispered that the Walker is a creature with oddities and that none of those who went with him into the Cursed Forest ever returned.
