“Arctic—also known as Mike Avdeev—the hope and light of all Russian hockey—has returned to ‘Rodina.’” This news caught me off guard and shook my mind. The stats of the disgraced former “Dallas” forward are impressive: 80 games in a season; 30 goals, 5 of them winning; 3 reprimands from the coach for a serious violation of the training regimen; 1 ready-for-anything enthusiastic masseuse; -1 my best friend who recently suggested we start dating. I’d like to stop thinking about this arithmetic at night, but, unfortunately, I can’t.
