A spaceship of an alien civilization, having overcome space at nearly the speed of light, lowered over the western hemisphere and, completely unnoticed, entered Earth’s atmosphere. Because the thoughts of both the heroes and the predator are described, making the meanings and motives behind the characters’ actions clearer.
