A spaceship of an alien civilization, having overcome space at nearly the speed of light, lowered over the western hemisphere and, completely unnoticed, entered Earth’s atmosphere. No one registered its approach — not NORAD in Colorado Springs, not a Siberian radar complex in Ablakovo, and not any other tracking stations. This is a spacecraft carrying the most dangerous hunter — a predator. It came to Earth because a new hunting season is beginning for the most dangerous prey in the universe — a human being. In general, it’s all like in the film with the same name, only more interesting. Because the characters’ traits are drawn more clearly. Because the thoughts of both the heroes and the predator are described, making the meanings and motives behind the characters’ actions clearer. Because… well, because a book is always more interesting than any even very good movie.
