The first stage of the tournament is behind us, but to pass it we had to sacrifice a great deal. Now me and a small handful of survivors—lucky enough not to become food for the creatures or victims of ingenious traps—face far more elaborate and cruel trials. We don’t know what tomorrow will bring; we don’t know who will return from the next location as the winner, and who will be sent for disposal.
