Evolution

The long-awaited cold has arrived. Winter—its frost, snow, and icy blizzards—changed the landscape of a city without people beyond recognition. Cannibals, animals, the suddenly insane—everything disappeared at once, hiding in dens where they could survive the harsh times. Crowding into the few shelters that were accessible to them, the process began. In summer it happened by accident; now perfect conditions appeared for cannibal packs to become larger, stronger, and many times smarter. While the remaining humans try to survive and take advantage of the period when resources can be obtained with little risk, they don’t know what’s waiting for them as soon as it warms up. Another predator went hunting in the city—no less dangerous than the hidden animals, because it hunted humans long before the apocalypse.
