Natalya Zhiltsova, a popular author of heroic and romantic fantasy, wrote the duology "Two Crowns" together with Svetlana Ushkova, who is also well known to fans of these genres. The duology takes place in the same world described in Natalya Zhiltsova’s famous solo cycle "Shadow." But it is an entirely different story, although some characters will be recognizable.

The title of the first book matches the title of the whole duology. Lana Svet and Natalya who have entered the Academy of Magic become best friends. Beyond that, they share a mysterious past. Lana is an elf. She remembers nothing of the past until she finds herself alone on a deserted road and is forced to protect her life from a stranger. Natalya is a seer. For a long time she remained a captive of the magical world—beautiful, but unable to replace reality.
