Twenty-One Years

“May I ask who you are?”

After sending the message, I feel a certain excitement. Who is this person who managed to express my feelings so precisely? I wait for a reply, hardly taking my eyes off the screen.

At last, an answer comes. It contains no name—only a few lines:

— Your reader, Lena…

— Does the reader have a name?

— Wild. Just Wild.

— You really read my books, Wild?

— I love you.

For a second I’m stunned by his words… and only after a minute do I realize that that is what my book is called.
