Cease Fire! Stop Observing!

Cease Fire! Stop Observing!

10 hrs. 26 min.
On the front, it often happens that you don’t have fractions of a second to pull the trigger and get out of the line of fire. Often, obstacles are “freshly revealed circumstances.” Commanders lack experience and the ability to quickly assess the situation; there is no determination to carry out the assigned task. Very annoying is the leadership that somehow appears from nowhere. Army commanders need a week or two to carry out what they planned, while the high command lacks the desire to overcome “political expediency.” Everything changes when, in a sector of the front, a focused and experienced person appears. That’s how it might have happened in Crimea and near Barvenkovo, in Europe and on the Karelian Front. There wasn’t enough resolve and skill, luck, and risk—just a tiny bit.
