The Provider

A post-apocalyptic action story in the lore of the computer game “Pathogenesis,” also known as “Pathogenesis: Overcome”—a single-player story-driven isometric action RPG that my friends at 269-th Lab are currently working on. Absolutely not LitRPG!!! :))) It’s just that the events of the book take place in the world of the game and even partially intersect with the plot. In short: bye-bye to our normal, familiar world—there’s no such thing anymore. Out there: bloodthirsty zombies (which, in fact, aren’t zombies at all, even if they look a lot like them). And for anyone who doesn’t want to become their food—or turn into a predatory flesh-eating creature—there are only two options: either seek protection from those who are determined and armed, or take matters into your own hands with a gun.
