Dictator

Cicero was subject to intrigues orchestrated by influential enemies, including the people’s tribune Clodius, which led to an unjust accusation and exile for a year and a half. After his return to Rome, a civil war began between Pompey and Caesar, which ended with Caesar’s death. Cicero survived yet another rise and fall, shown through the eyes of his slave and secretary Tiro, who was always by his side during times of glory, trials, and personal hardships.
