The Wild Robot

A wonderful story about a robot named Roz who ends up on a separate island. It all began with a sea disaster: a ship was caught in a storm and sank along with cargo containing hundreds of carefully packaged robots. The wreckage was washed ashore on an uninhabited island. All the boxes broke against the rocks except one, which remained intact and was thrown onto the sand. Curious sea otters found the box and, playing with it, accidentally opened the packaging—after which the robot Roz activated.
