Ivan Klimov, by the will of fate, who ended up in the body of a Negro in 1880, continues to fight for his future. As the prince of an unknown tribe, Bonda, he accepted Christianity of the Copts and took the name Ioann during baptism. Under that name, Ioann the Dark continues to build a state, a language, and a nation—uniting scattered African tribes under his rule and hoping to become emperor of Africa. He has to fend off European powers, set them against each other, manipulating their interests for his own purposes, and creating his state from scratch. But he has an advantage: he knows what events await the whole world. Yet will it help him? That remains unknown…
