I came home after two years of service in the Soviet Army… again. As if I hadn’t lived through another fifty years after that event.
The Soviet Union at the peak of its power. My parents and younger brother are alive. And the cemetery near the village is not yet as large as I remember.
Summer, heat, women, preparing for entrance exams to the institute.
Only I know that the clouds over the horizon of my life are already thickening. Troubles will soon come for me and my loved ones one after another…
