The main character is Maksim Maksimov, a member of a secret military Order. He returns to life to take up battle again. Actions take place on the eve of presidential elections: for some, it’s a time to place bets and make deals; for others, it’s the time to choose their life path and reassess the past; and for the initiated, it’s the time of the Wild Hunt—a relentless and merciless fight against Evil. In the city beneath which, at any moment, an infernal abyss can open up, a devilish intrigue unfolds, drawing into its whirl politicians, security services, Satanists, and envoys of secret Eastern Orders.
The novel abounds in little-known facts about the activities of intelligence services, secret doctrines of secret lodges, mystical revelations, and magical formulas. All this makes it a wonderful example of a novel in the genre of “mystical realism.” Only after listening to “Black Moon” to the end will you understand that not everything is so simple in today’s life—and not everything is as hopeless as it seems.
