Anatoly Fyodorovich Drozndov is a well-known science-fiction writer working in various genres. We present in audio format the novel “The Ladybug,” written in a mixed genre of “portal-into-another-world” and alternative history.
Death is not the end. And for the hero of the book, it is not only the start of a new life, but also a chance to change another person’s life by turning it completely upside down. Having died in our time, the hero finds himself in 1967, in the Soviet Union, in the body of a mentally disabled young man named Boris. The guardians have long taken over his property and the money provided by the state, and the boy himself has no chance for a decent life. However, now everything will change, because inside him is a person with mind, education, and—most importantly—life experience and knowledge of history.
By a miracle, Boris’s diagnosis is revoked. He goes to serve in the elite border troops of that time—and who knows, maybe the hero will manage to change not only one person’s fate, but that of an entire country. Details are in the audiobook.
