Nikita Zimin, the protagonist of the proposed novel, goes to an unknown world—literally, to who knows where—in order to save his friend’s granddaughter, and ends up in the magical city of New Kitezh-grad. The hero himself has no magical abilities, yet for some reason he attracts the attention of the locals. In the end, he has to hide at the post station, becoming its caretaker, understanding that the neighbors beyond the fence are so dangerous that even thinking about them is unpleasant.
In the second book, the hero’s adventures continue. Nikita Zimin flees from the New Kitezh-grad’s ferocious enemy and finds himself at a backwater station, the Tumanisty Pass. There are many dangers here, but the main threat comes not from the monsters living in the area, but from a mysterious and beautiful stranger.
