Many years ago, in a remote part of the universe, two civilizations of intelligent beings began a conflict that led to their mutual annihilation. The only legacy of that war was a weapon that terminated the fighting by itself—gigantic killer machines with artificial intelligence. These ships, comparable in size to planets, move through the galaxy destroying everything in their path, because that goal was built into them by their creators.

Now they have reached the borders of space inhabited by humankind.

People named them berserkers. Humankind is also capable of fighting and has decided to accept this challenge.
