On Terratos, the northerners attacked unexpectedly and treacherously. They are cruel and merciless. Artillery turns cities into dust; thousands of peaceful residents who managed to survive the fire of war are sent as slaves to mines—because the northerners need labor hands, and it doesn’t matter whose hands they are: a healthy man’s or a sick child’s. Kint Akan finds himself at the epicenter of events. He can’t calmly watch the suffering of ordinary people, whose lot is these horrors—and decides to act. Gathering a small gang, Kint begins carrying out sabotage behind enemy lines: ambushes, night raids, and operations to free slaves. The unit grows, and each time the northerners strengthen their convoy and guard. The war has reached its climax. The culmination is coming—the decisive battle, in which Kint Akan’s mountain army will have to play a crucial role. Will Kint’s fighters manage to hold on at the fatal moment, when the freedom of all Terratos is at stake?
