At the very end of the war, the Nazis built deep inside a sleeping Arctic volcano a reliable hideout hidden from prying eyes—a Tula colony. Prophecy says that sooner or later the mighty Eagle will return to its master, and the Führer of the German nation will rise from his icy sleep to found the Fourth Reich.
It is exactly to the lost in the ice Tula colony that the experimental station “Earth-2” heads. Aboard the station are billionaire Andrei Gumilyov, his little daughter Marusya, Andrei’s lover Margo Safina, and General Sviridov, who never parts with the Eagle. None of them can imagine what they’ll have to face in the snowy depths of the Arctic. On the third day of the journey, a mysterious murder occurs on board. An attempt to investigate it leads Andrei to the thought that he and other members of the expedition are pawns in the hands of invisible players weaving a complex, well-planned conspiracy.
