This is the first book in Russia on an integral approach to training and employee development within a company—an approach that enables a more accurate selection of development methods for each specific employee. The book describes in detail how to conduct an optimal training upgrade using a wide range of modern tools: tracking, mentoring, training programs, coaching, mentoring, facilitation, the Agile approach, consulting, and psychotherapy. The principles of these methods and the tools are discussed in depth, as well as the profiles of the competencies required. How to optimally combine these methods without turning it into something meaningless or superficial. This book is my answer to requests from my clients, who have long asked me to write a book about the comprehensive use of the methods listed above in my practice—how these approaches can be combined in work with clients, thereby enhancing the synergistic effect of training and employee development. The future of employee training and development lies in an optimal systemic approach to the learning system. Knowing how to use different methods strictly as indicated—clearly understanding the problems, goals, tasks to be solved, and the capabilities of the tools. My experience shows that these approaches can be combined when it is necessary to solve complex, systemic problems, which many experienced experts and training and development centers already do. If Agile and business consulting and mentoring are more aimed at employees’ professional activities, then psychotherapy and coaching are aimed at the employee’s personality itself—working with their problems, beliefs, and values.
