The mid-21st century. Independent journalist Konstantin Tamanский goes to Africa as a military correspondent, where for many years a total slaughtering war has been going on between local empires using cyborg soldiers, space satellites with laser weaponry, and other future military technologies. Recording unprecedented atrocities committed by the warring sides and the complete meaninglessness of what is happening, Tamanский comes to the conclusion that this slaughter is interested in much more powerful forces than puppet governments of banana republics or the world’s superpowers. And even the sinister Voodoo gods taking part in the fighting are most likely only pieces on the chessboard of unseen players.
