Restoring Reality

Restoring Reality

13 hrs. 20 min.
A translation into a rare language triggers a strange epidemic: people begin to levitate, and on a rural trip terrifying secrets of farmers come to light. A regular literary work translated into an almost forgotten tongue becomes the cause of unusual events in the life of a writer. In Hungary, people start getting sick, but instead of the usual symptoms they float under the ceiling, speaking words in unknown languages. Soon after recovery, even stranger things happen. Townspeople who decide to rest in the countryside soon notice that the farmers are doing something horrifying. A representative of a company that sells drinks goes on a business trip—and suddenly finds himself in a terrible, unbelievable reality.

The worlds created by Attila Veresheh, Hungary’s best-known horror author, strike with their ominous atmosphere. In his works obsession spreads on an epidemic scale, comic situations turn into horror, and reality is only a matter of perception—where even an ordinary interview can become an endless nightmare.
