The Fern Flower

Hoping to deal with an old illness, Oksana leaves her job and goes to a village healer. Meanwhile, Alexander—realizing that he lied about the healer’s abilities—comes up with treatment procedures on the spot. An encounter at dawn, bathing in dew, dancing of river elves, talking with animals—something from this, or maybe all of it together, works, and Oksana sees an astonishing dream. She can’t retell it in ordinary words—out of it is born a poem, resembling either a prayer or a spell.

The concept “the labyrinth of times” sounds familiar. Soon Oksana manages to enter that state and penetrate her genetic memory. There she witnessed an event that became the cause of her illness.
