Jokes of the Gods. A Hasty Decision

Humor can be extremely painful—especially when a prankster underestimates how much impact such jokes have on the person who unwittingly becomes the victim. What can we say about those same Gods who also love to play tricks? After all, for them, the same people are nothing more than pawns on a chessboard! It’s a complicated question. Many such jokers, getting used—within a certain time—to the peculiar impunity of these pranks, completely forget that not everyone can appreciate this kind of humor. To someone, it may even seem insulting and painful. Who among them will take into account the desires, opinions, or interests of some insects that they can crush with a single flick of their finger by the tens of thousands? It’s even harder to find an answer to that. And even more difficult is to protect oneself from such pranks—because the Gods, certainly, don’t expect that someone might be offended by their “innocent” jokes…
