Jokes sometimes hurt more than you’d think—especially when the person who started the prank doesn’t realize how heavy their “fun” can land on someone who just happened to be the target. And what about the Gods, who also like to have fun? For them, people are just pieces on a game board that can be moved around however they please. The question is not simple: once, over time, these jokers get used to a feeling of complete impunity, they stop remembering that not everyone is capable of accepting that kind of humor. For some people, it becomes not funny, but humiliating and painful. And who will consider the feelings, opinions, or interests of those who can be destroyed with a single click—over and over, even tens of thousands of times? It’s even harder to answer that than to protect yourself from such “entertainment,” because the Gods surely don’t expect anyone to dare take offense at their allegedly innocent pranks.
