“School of Divers” is a new fantasy novel series by Dmitry Yemets. In it, the author of the popular series “Tanya Grotter” and “Methodius Buslaev” creates a world that allows readers to look at the most familiar things in a new way. The main task of the shnyrs is to save human lives, risking their own, and to prevent evil from reigning in the world.
“Pegasus, the Lion and the Centaur” is the first book in the “School of Divers” (“ShNyr”) series.
ShNyr is not a first name, surname, or nickname. It is a place where shnyrs gather, and it can be found on a map. Outwardly, it is the most ordinary house; every hundred years it is demolished and rebuilt so as not to attract attention. Shnyrs are not magicians, although their abilities far surpass all human understanding — if something significant or inexplicable happens somewhere in the world, then the shnyrs are surely involved. It is impossible for an outsider to enter the territory of ShNyr. And anyone who has ever betrayed its laws can never return. No one is born a shnyr. No supernatural gifts or kinship with a wizard are required. Shnyrs are chosen by golden bees, whose only hive is located on the territory of ShNyr. No one knows whom a bee will choose next or, most importantly, why.
