In the first novel about Rumyantsev, "Pilot of Dreams," which opened the "Tomorrow War Universe" series, our cadet was serving the United Nations, the galactic "Empire of Good."
In the new book of the project, pilot Rumyantsev sets off on a dangerous journey to space pirates and trappers. Fate confronts him with a difficult choice. How can he remain faithful to his beloved, Lieutenant Roshni Tervani of the Concordian space fleet? And at the same time lead pirate fluggers into battle, under the fire of anti-aircraft lasers, not at the call of his heart and not for the Motherland? But simply because fate has left him no choice?
