The main hero wakes up in a nightmare place, with his past memory wiped clean. The world he finds himself in is horrifying. People live in endless, gloomy corridors. They appear here not only without memories, but also completely without limbs. All of them are “voluntarily lesser,” meaning—supposedly—they agreed to such a fate themselves. No one remembers when or why it happened, but each person is trying to survive at any cost. The System watches over everyone closely: its cameras are everywhere, and unexpected appearances happen too. Violations of the established rules—including late payments—are punished strictly, up to the confiscation of the rented parts of the body. And then the fate of the offender is hardly enviable. After all, in a world ruled by bandits’ arbitrariness, a human life is worth nothing.
The main hero is player number eleven, known to everyone as Oddy. He has no intention of continuing this miserable existence; he wants to figure out what is happening. After restoring order and earning respect in his district, he and his team decide to move on. The bridge leading to Drainetown is aptly called Deadly for a reason. Many numbers have gone missing without a trace, and their trail leads there. Because the surveillance camera there is out of order, and the space under the bridge is covered in a solid poisonous fog. What lies in this ominous place? You’ll find out by listening to the audiobook.
