The final novel in Erast Fandorin’s adventures.
On October 9, 2017, the author announced that the novel was finished: “I inform all interested parties that, as of the 8th day of the 10th month of year 29 of the Haisеy era, the last book in the series ‘The Adventures of Erast Fandorin’ has been completed.” The novel was to be published on February 8, 2018—on the 20th anniversary of the publication of “Azazel,” the first book in the cycle of Fandorin’s adventures.
As we remember, in the chronologically last novel “The Black City,” Erast Petrovich had his head shot. In the real world, six years have passed; in the book—one year plus a bit.
