Mikhail Gyrin, by his own choice, ended up in the “era of stagnation,” leading a double life—one open to everyone and one secret. An exemplary student, Misha studies in the 9th grade, goes to volunteer work days, and does technical creative projects; in the evenings he saves his own people and kills enemies, sends coded messages to the KGB, reporting what will happen—who will betray and who will remain faithful to the Soviet Union until the end.
The KGB, “Mossad,” and the CIA are on his heels, but so far he manages to slip away, hiding under different disguises. His opponents have a vice-like grip, and Mikhail leaves “traces”—healed people. True, Gyrin managed to cure even Suslov himself, but will his namesake become a reliable ally?
