Vyacheslav Alexandrovich Kalikinsky is a journalist and prose writer, author of historical novels, and a member of the Union of Writers of Russia. The “Agasphere” series consists of five exciting spy retro-detectives devoted to the work of counterintelligence in Russia at the end of the 19th and the beginning of the 20th century.
The main character is Mikhail Berg, well-known to genre fans for the novel “The Ambassador.” A former brilliant officer became a cripple and ended up wanted because he stood up for a friend—a Japanese ambassador. Berg hid for a long time within the walls of a monastery. And at last he finds a case: he becomes one of the origins of Russian counterintelligence and, with a team of like-minded people, counteracts agents of Western countries and Japan.
In the fourth book, Agasphere operates in a new historical reality that has emerged after the revolution in Russia. The hero will have to participate in the search for the much-maligned golden reserve of the Empire. Because of the book’s large size, it’s split into two parts. Listen to the audiobook’s first part.
