Veronika, a wealthy business lady—and, as it turns out, the head of the local drug mafia—has many enemies, but gets by with minimal security, or even moves around alone. At least 11 killers are known to have died “on contract,” but they never reached the intended target. Victor, from whose perspective the story is told, is recruited into a group of yet more potential (self-)killers in an attempt to complete the deadly quest after all.
