Description
In the future, people who died long ago are being resurrected. Among them is a former Spanish inquisitor named Balthazar, who now works as a detective. He is trying to fulfill his dream and win the heart of the woman he loves—yet she is chasing him not only in real life, but also in constant nightmares connected to the past.
His life could be called tolerable, if not for a series of mysterious and cruel suicides. The victims have no visible reasons to do such a thing, and the way they take their own lives is horrifying. The only key to the mystery lies in the gelatinous casings found in the stomachs of the dead, hinting at outside interference.
Balthazar takes on the investigation of another suicide—and involuntarily becomes entangled in the path of a person with noble intentions, about which he still has to learn.
