We Are Fighter Pilots

A school graduate falls into a quicksand bog—and comes to his senses on June 20, 1941, just one day before the start of the Great Patriotic War. The son of a pilot, he himself takes the controls to avoid dying in the first days of the general chaos and to use the brand-new La-5 aircraft to change the course of the air war.

The graduate fell into a swamp and surfaced on June 20, 1941. He is the heir to an aviation dynasty; he becomes a pilot himself and decides not to get lost in this war. But above all, he needs one thing—to survive the first, most terrifying days.

And then new La-5 fighters will rise into the sky, flown by pilots trained according to modern methods at the Combat Training Center of the Air Force’s flight personnel. And they will take to the fight.
