Author’s notes: The novella was written in 1996 as a documentary work for the 10th anniversary of the Chernobyl disaster. It was rewritten and expanded for the 30th anniversary of this tragic event. The work includes many mystical and fantastic episodes. I wanted to give the reader hope that everything could have ended quite differently. Even if in a certain alternative reality.
