The House Spirit and the Cat enjoy peaceful living, but suddenly their calm is disturbed by a mysterious CALL, prompting them to leave their home.

They set off into the unknown, expecting thrilling—though risky—adventures, the purpose of which is still unknown to them.

Who lives in the forest? Who created their world? Where do House Spirits come from? And most importantly—where does the CALL lead?

“ I personally know the main character of this story, and it was from him that I learned all the details of his unusual adventure. When the time came to decide what to name the book, he suggested the option ‘The Great Journey of the Excellent Cat, Winner of All and Everything, Very Beautiful and Clever, and Also Very Modest, And By the Way He Has Such Smooth, Shiny Fur, And He’s Not Fat at All,’ but I chose a shorter and more intriguing title. That upset him, and he even bit me on the hand— but I hope he isn’t angry, because the title is just the wrapping, while the essence is always inside the book.

That’s how the story titled ‘CALL’ begins.”
