What should the emperor do if he is firmly convinced that his chosen one doesn’t love him as deeply as he loves her? The right answer: get angry.

But the laws of magic are merciless. Cinderella will still come to the ball in a carriage made of a pumpkin—of course, to the powerful and arrogant emperor, because no princes were brought into this fairy tale.
