Description
Back in 1883, Italy published C. Collodi’s book “The Adventures of Pinocchio. The Story of One Marionette.” And almost fifty years later, in 1935–1936, in Russia, in the newspaper “Pioneer Truth,” a fairy tale “The Golden Key, or the Adventures of Buratino” was published—written by the Soviet writer A.N. Tolstoy. According to the author’s original plan, “The Golden Key” was supposed to be a retelling and adaptation of the famous Italian book. But as a result, a new country appeared, new characters appeared—and as a result, an absolutely new fairy tale.

…Old Papa Carlo carved a funny little boy out of a piece of wood and named him Buratino. The wooden boy came to life, but to become a real person, he will have to go through many adventures. Kindness, courage, and help from real, unselfish friends will help him endure all trials with honor.

In the audiobook, musical instruments from the 19th–20th centuries sound.
