Description
Vera Polozkova is one of the most in-demand contemporary poets, a real cultural hero of her generation, a phenomenon of the modern stage—a poet with her own band, filling full concert halls all over the country. In a year, Vera and her musicians gave around 60 concerts across Russia and Ukraine.
She is the author of two poetry collections, a cult blogger of Runet, and one of the first laureates of the new Russian literary award “Neformat,” given to young authors for “proposing new creative forms.”

On June 8, 2011, her debut demo album “The Sign of Inequality” was released, and during its very first week of online sales it took first place by the number of downloads. On physical media, this record was not released, because from the very beginning it was announced as “a test run.”
Throughout 2012, the musicians reworked the arrangements of tracks from “The Sign of Inequality” and wrote material for the second part of the diptych—“The Sign of Equality.” Now the double album has been released on physical media.
The album presentation took place on November 6, 2012, at the Moscow academic theater named after Vladimir Mayakovsky with the support of the Moscow Department of Culture. For the first time in the theater’s 90-year history, a real rock concert was held on its stage! Almost a thousand people gathered that evening in the theater.
A completely unprecedented success of an unusual project!
“Sign of Inequality/Sign of Equality” is a worthy result of the project’s two years of work—a kind of message to the audience with poetry that you want to listen to, listen to, and listen to.
