This book is dedicated to the 60th anniversary of the author’s birth and is published 13 years after his passing. A person whose name soon could have been among the first in contemporary literature. But there wasn’t enough time. Geniuses are always given too little.
The autobiographical proto-novel “Life Without Carlo” is made up of carefully crafted tragicomic scenes from military service, village life, life on the road, and the daily routine of “an office person with a very good salary.” With inspiration and despair, with bitterness—about how everything happened, why it’s arranged precisely this way, and why it seems it will no longer change. Exactly the way the author wanted.
