A Woman of the Earth

Archibald Cronin was a Scottish doctor and writer who was very popular in the 1930s. His fame even surpassed that of Agatha Christie. In his novella "The Woman of Earth," published in Cosmopolitan magazine in 1933, he tells about the complicated relationship between teacher Davie, his assistant Jess, her mother who left the city years ago, and other characters. It is an emotional story, and for the first time it is available in Russian.
