Léon-René Delmas de Pon-Jest (1830–1904) was a French writer and traveler, the author of several dozen novels, mostly adventure and detective stories. He served in the navy and traveled widely across the world, mainly in Southeast Asia. He left behind interesting memoirs of his travels to India and China.
