When we talk about the time of brave musketeers, lovely ladies, and luxurious palaces, we find ourselves in France in our minds, and before our eyes appear scenes of balls, duels, and lavish feasts. Just like in Alexandre Dumas’s novel “The Three Musketeers,” which each of us devoured as children. With the audiobook “The Iron Mask. The Age of the Musketeers,” we’re in for yet another journey back to this distant and beautiful time called “the Age of Gallantry.” We’ll meet the mysterious Count Saint-Germain and together try to unravel the secret of the enigmatic prisoner of the Bastille hidden behind the Iron Mask—while diving into vivid descriptions of France in the 17th–18th centuries.
