Attorney Ruzhineki receives a rather strange will from a certain Yaretsky, the owner of a ritual goods workshop. The man wants to bequeath practically all his property to the person who saved him during the Warsaw Uprising, bypassing his young wife. He also leaves in the attorney’s office letters that, in case of his death, are to be delivered to the police. Some time later, the lawyer discovers that his client has been found dead. But the mysterious events that require explanation have only just begun, and the main riddles still await the attorney ahead.
