Description
Young art historian Ann Steelewell comes to New York hoping for an internship at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. However, she’s assigned to the museum’s branch—The Cloisters, famous for its collections of medieval and Renaissance art.
There Ann meets a group of researchers studying fortune-telling with Tarot cards. At first she is skeptical, but soon she finds an ancient deck of Italian cards from the fifteenth century—one that is said to be surrounded by legends. Among her colleagues, a race begins: who will be the first to uncover the deck’s secret. And then, in the museum, they find the body of one of them.
Now Ann has to choose: try to challenge the cards and create her own future—or surrender to the magic of this ancient deck, standing on the threshold of a major discovery.
